Handing your editor a wide ready of shots gives them more options. Variety helps them move from one scene to the next, helps make long scenes more interesting, and tends to hold viewers' attention. Variety is an editor's best friend, and you want to keep your editor happy. Since you were likely be the editor, do yourself a favor and get lots of different kinds of shots. In this course, I explain how to take all those different kinds of shots. All are intended to make it easier for you to craft compelling stories. So here is a quick rundown of what's to come. Using multiple-shot composing techniques, such as the so-called rule of thirds, strong foreground elements, lines and curves, and unusual angles, shoot matched action, usually tighten wide shots of the same action. Get sequences of shots, several shots of the same scene from different angles and locations. Shoot scene transitions.
