I'm going to explain some of the strategies I use when I shoot and edit audio for my stories. I'm not going to explain exactly how to eds audio. You can find out more about that by viewing lynda.com tutorials for your specific video editor, then looking up at the audio editing portions of those tutorials. I'm going to limit my discussion to just some of the thinking that goes on when I shoot and edit audio. Let's start off with this opening shot of this chocolatier. I've got several segments from the chocolatier story. Here's the opening shot. (Male speaker: When we scoop them out, they look like this.) Now did you notice something there? You'll notice that maybe he cleared his throat, but you didn't hear it. That's because I didn't use that part of the audio. Let's watch that again.
