- Another way you can keyframe your audio is with the pen tool. The easiest way to do this is, simply place your mouse over the keyframe line and either have the pen tool ... Or here's a great little trick: instead of switching to the pen tool, you can hold down the command key on a Mac, or the control key on Windows, and you'll notice that your cursor turns into a little plus sign. What I want to do is put four keyframes to bring the music down when the interview starts. I'm going to hold the control key, click four times, because this will allow me to break the volume level. I'll go ahead and grab it in the middle and bring it down. So you can see visually that the audio is going to get softer when he starts to speak.
