Using adjustment layers

- One of my favorite features about Premiere Pro is the use of adjustment layers. Now, this is a technology that started in Photoshop and it essentially allows you to apply an effect to a layer. This layer can have its properties adjusted. So if we put a filter on a layer, we could adjust the opacity of that layer and it'll have less effect on the footage below. Another advantage is that you can have a composite such as a green screen shot and color correct or adjust the exposure for both the background and the foreground at the exact same time. This also introduced cool things like blending modes. Let me show you. To add an adjustment layer, you can click on the New icon at the bottom of your panel. Here's the project panel. Make that a little bigger. And I could just click and hold on the New item and choose Adjustment Layer and it will add it to your project.
