From the course: Premiere Pro for Self-Taught Editors
Usie After Effects as your effects engine
- You can incorporate After Effects into your editing workflow in Premiere Pro seamlessly, thanks to a technology called dynamic link. This allows you to make changes to content in After Effects and see the result immediately in Premiere Pro. Let's look at one example of how this works, and perhaps an easy way to get into using After Effects. I'm in the use After Effects sequence, I'm in the regular editing workspace and let's say I want to make an adjustment in After Effects to this particular shot. I can just right-click on this clip in the timeline in Premiere Pro and choose replace with After Effects composition. After Effects starts up automatically and it's going to want to create a new project, this is going to become footage for Premiere Pro. I'll call this use After Effects and I'll save this file in our media folder. Of course, you can save it where you want, but it's a good idea to put it somewhere near the rest…
