Unlinking and relinking

- [Instructor] In a Premier Pro project, a clip behaves as if it is the media file that it links to, but it is not the media file, it's really just a shortcut to it. I'm going to double click the name of the project panel to go full screen here and just expand the media bin we have, and let's take a look at this item. It's the close up serious shot that we've got in a sequence already. If you look at the information in the project panel you can see the duration, the media start and then the time code, the frame rate and so on. It really seems like this item right here is the media file but it's not. This clip is just giving information about the media file that it links to and the two are separate. The clip exists inside the project and the media file does not. I'll just double click again at the top of the project panel there, and let's take a look at this unlinking and relinking sequence.
