- There are times when you really need more precision and less back-and-forth than a "Slip Edit" offers. That's where "Match Framing" comes into play. Take a look at this clip. I want the border to hit the edge, just as we reach the cut marker. To do this, I will place my playhead at the cut point. Now this technique will work anywhere you want a specific action to happen against a specific sound. Now take a look at this clip, I want the border to hit the edge, (energetic music) just as we get to that cut point. To do this, I'm going to position my playhead right on that marker, we know that we can do that with Shift+M or Ctrl+Shift+M to jump backwards and forwards, so now I'm spot-on where I want the action to happen and now I want to select the action. And to do this, I'm going to do something called a "Match Frame", and I can simply press the F key and this will load the same clip into my source monitor and now I can line up the specific point where I want the action to happen on…
