- [Instructor] In version 14.4 of Premiere Pro, released in September 2020, there's a new feature called Scene Edit Detection, which is a really useful tool that allows you to automatically add cut points to a scene. Why would you need to do this? Let me show you here. First, just one note. This is a what's new movie, so there are no exercise files. So please just follow along with me. And let me show you what we've got. This is a sequence and there's only clip in this sequence. However, it's made up of many different shots, all right? So essentially this was a sequence that was exported from Premiere or another non-linear editing software and then imported back into Premiere. This is a fairly common scenario where you're working with basically a mix down of a sequence and it can be useful to add the cut points back into it. So let me show you how to do that.
