- Something that I believe came first on the Avid,…known as Tops and Tails, the idea that you have a clip…and you, say, get rid of the part of the clip…on one side or the other side of your playhead…exists here in Premiere, and it's one of…my favorite techniques.…I'm going to go ahead and just drag…a bunch of clips to the timeline.…I'm just going to take all this footage,…there are no in's and outs, I'm dragging…all of it to the timeline.…I'm going to hit the slash key,…you can see all the clips are right there.…And, I'm going to put my left hand on the Q and W keys.…That's my first two fingers.…
And let's zoom in just a little bit close here.…Plus, plus, plus.…And now I'm going to hit the letter W,…and it's going to get rid of everything…to the right of my playhead.…One minus key so you can see this.…On this clip here, I'm going to hit the letter Q,…it's going to get rid of everything…to the left of my playhead.…And over here, everything to the right of my playhead, W.…And this is a really quick way to cut down a timeline,…
