- Sometimes footage will have a damaged frame. It might be corruption in the file. Now, this is much more likely if actual tape was used, but I have seen electrical interference cause hits in digital files as well. Let's explore how you can remove a frame hit. Remember, you'll most often see this in things that are archival, or older in nature. I've got a shot here, it's the exact same one you looked at, and we are going to simulate the problem of a digital hit. Let's go ahead and zoom this back out. In this case, you're going to see that there's a glitch in the shot. In fact, two of them. What we're going to want to do is find that glitch and we can remove it. Now, there we go. Using the forward and backward frame advance buttons, you can locate the problem. Now, with the layer selected, I'll choose Enable Time Remapping. Layer, Time, Enable Time Remapping.
