- The Roto Brush offers several options to change the edges. On it's own it does pretty well but a little bit of feathering and a little bit of softening at the edges can often make a more natural cut out effect. What we're going to do here is just refine the edge. Now you might find it useful to view this as different layer. Let's go ahead and make sure we're in the layer window and remember I can control seeing this as a black and white mat or as a Rubylith mask and you can really change how the edges are shown. I think the black mat is going to be good here. What I'm going to do is put a little bit of additional feather to smooth that out. And I'll take advantage of some motion blur here for things that are moving. That looks good. Additionally if I scroll down here I can tell it to decontaminate the edge color and do a little bit of higher quality motion blur for the moving subject.
