- When shooting video, if a camera suddenly moves, it can create a blur. This might be because of a bump, or a jostle, and it's a pretty undesirable look. However, After Effects recently added a filter to help compensate for this. Let's go ahead and bring a clip in here. And we'll place the new comp from footage. Now viewing this at 100%, you can see that there's a little bit of camera vibration. Both because the web is moving, and because we're really zoomed in on this spider with the long zoom lens. Well, fortunately I can choose Effect... Blur & Sharpen ... Camera Shake Deblur. This is going to allow you to analyze the shot and remove the blurring. Now what you're going to want to do is tell it how to analyze. The more blur, the higher the number you should use here to remove it. Plus, you can specify if you want to use a higher quality method.
