In this video training course, you'll learn all about the new and changed features in Premier Pro CS6. The one unifying theme for Premier Pro CS6 has to be you can work faster easier and the way that you want. The user interface has received an overall redesign making it more customizeable and putting things closer to where you need them. Keyboard shortcuts have been added and some have been changed to make them easier to use or more as you would expect. It's now much easier to edit using the keyboard.
Improvements in the GPU accelerations component of the mercury playback engine make many things much faster. Repairing problematic footage has gotten much easier with the addition of the warp stabilizer effect and the rolling shutter repair effect. The three way color corrector has gotten a redesign, so now it's much easier to use and much easier to find the controls that you need. And now, it's a lot faster and easier to apply effects since now you can simply double-click on them in the Effects panel. But not all of the changes are about speed and easy to use. Many of them are about increased power. New audio track types and a new multi camera monitor both, give you the ability to edit your way, and without the limitations imposed by previous versions of Premier Pro.
Premier Pro CS6 is integrated even better with Adobe Media Encoder which itself has many improvement, including a new preset browser and the ability to save presets that include many different encoding types. Premiere Pro also integrates with new applications, Adobe Speed Grade and Adobe Prelude. Adobe Speed Grade is used for color grading, and Adobe Prelude is used for logging, cataloging, and marking up footage before bringing it into Premiere Pro. The markers from Adobe Prelude come through as markers in Adobe Premiere Pro. And the markers in Premier Pro have been improved to accommodate this.
These and many other changes make Premier Pro CS6 much easier, much faster, and much more powerful.
