New captions workflow
- We're going to take a look at the new captions workflow. Let's go ahead and open up a closed caption clip. We'll go here and I'll open up a PSA. Now I've already imported the captions using the import command. What's different about these captions is how they're handled in Premiere-Pro. If I go to add the captions to the timeline instead of taking up a video track, it now makes a new dedicated caption track. You can decide if these are true closed captions for broadcast with the 608 or 708 format or if these are visible captions like subtitles that would become burned in, this could be quite useful if you want to format these, for example for the web where you want them visible. Let's go with that format for now, the open caption style. When I click okay, a new track is added and you can actually see the captions.
