Modifying a LUT with third-party software

- If you find a LUT and it's not exactly right, remember it's possible to save that over or even convert formats. Now we've been looking at LUTs inside of Premiere Pro. Remember it's pretty simple to just import a LUT, make a few changes, and save it back out as a new LUT. But what happens if you find a look or a LUT and it's in a format that Adobe can't recognize? Well, there are third party utilities out there, such as Lattice, and others. Let me show you one of these and how it works. I've downloaded a version of Lattice here. It's a dedicated utility for working with look up tables. Let's choose to open a LUT. Let's go to the desktop folder here, and I'll navigate to the exercise files, and go into my LUTs folder here, and I'm gonna open up one of those look up tables from Sony. Let's go with the cine one, and click Open. There it is, and you can see with the split screen image what it looks like. Here is a standard sort of log image, and they've then processed it.
