…There's a shortcut I really like, and it's just called…Mark Clip, and it's most effective actually used on the timeline.…Some reasons you might want to Mark Clip and use this shortcut…is if you're replacing something on the timeline that already exists there.…You may be doing a three or four point edit, which…I talk about in detail in Premiere Pro Guru Mastering the Timeline.…Or it may be something as simple as needing to replace some…bad audio, but matching its length exactly to an existing video clip.…
I'm going to just make our timeline nice and big using…the grave key, so we can really see what's going on.…And you can see that my play head is positioned over a clip.…And if I want to select with in and outs just that…clip, single keyboard shortcut of X will go ahead and do that.…And you can see that what's been selected is this clip Earthrime.…So the only thing that makes this tricky is that…it is based on active tracks over here in this area.…Okay.…So if I move my play head, let's say, here and I…hit X, you'll see that it doesn't actually select this clip, it goes all the way…
