- When I watch editors come to Premiere Pro and try and adapt rapidly, the first area where they struggle the most is in timeline management. And those timeline track heights, learn how to do it from the keyboard. It'll make all the difference in the world, for your just feeling comfortable. If you're an Avid editor, you have the ability to have it memorize these heights, and you can even assign it to the keyboard. It only does the track heights. It doesn't do other information, but this definitely makes your life a lot easier if you coming, say, from an Avid background where you're used to all sorts of track customizations. Replace Edit might have been something new for you in this section. It exists in almost every editorial tool, but most editors, I find, don't know it.
