- Just like any other post-production tool, one of the first things you have to do is actually get your footage into the application. Now in the past, many folks would work with Resolve as a finishing tool, often coming after the editorial. So you would use things like an XML file and media to sort of pull the project in. But now Resolve has also matured into a full-featured editor and it has its own ways of bringing in media. - Yeah, well of course bringing in media is rather simple and in Resolve's case, it's literally just drag and drop from a drive right into the application. But where Resolve differs from Final Cut Pro 10, as well as Premiere Pro, is that it does a little bit of higher level smart thinking and that's what I want to show you in this movie. How we can leverage what's called Resolve Color Management when we import files to not have to deal with LUTs and any math, but just to allow the application to do all the hard work for us.
