Improved loading of thumbnails in the Media Browser
- The Media Browser is a useful place to look for media and clips, and I find that I use it quite often with tapeless media. Although it can be used for traditional files as well. One of the drawbacks in the past is if you navigated to a large folder, you had to wait for the thumbnails to update. So if you were browsing a shoot and wanted to start at the end of the shoot, you'd have to wait for all the media to start at the top and work it's way down to the bottom. Now Premier Pro is a bit smarter, and it starts to build based on where you've scrolled. Here's how, let's go over to the Media Browser here. I'll just maximize this panel, and access my Media Browser. Let's go to our hard drive and access a folder. Now in this case, I'm going to jump in and take a look at some of my files. And you see that what it begins to do is quickly build those. So if you have a lot of media, it's going to be able to look at that and favor it based upon what you're working with. For example, if I…
