Join Jason Osder for an in-depth discussion in this video Hardware and workspaces, part of Premiere Pro Guru: Customizing Workspaces.
Before we go any further with Work Spaces, I did want to know that some of the options you have, will be dependent on the hardware you're working on, and in particular, I mean the types of monitors you may be working with. So, we're talking about the resolution of your main monitor, or your laptop monitor, if that's how you're working. And then we're also talking about arrangements that may have dual monitors to give you more screen real estate. You may even find that when you load up these exercise files, they don't fill your screen in the same way that they fill mine in the demonstration.
That would be because you're running a different resolution I am. And if you just expand the window with the green button, it will fill out and look very similar. As you can imagine, as you move on to larger monitors and especially dual monitor setups. This becomes even more complicated. However, it's all apart of the flexibility of Work Spaces. And any editor that spends time editing will tell you that dual monitors are an advantage and adapting your Work Spaces to those dual monitors are even better. So we'll look at things as we move forward into customization.
For now, I just wanted you to be aware that the hardware you're running will affect your Work Spaces.
