Four steps to assembling a project

When it comes to assembling a project that's been worked on by other artists, I think there are four main things to be aware of. Now, I'm making a deliberate point about these four things because in my experience it's been these things, if not adhered to or paid attention to, cause a ton of problems, when all you're trying to do is get a project out the door and delivered. First up, know what you're delivering to the other artist, and know what you need back. Many projects grind to a halt because of the assumptions made when it comes to hand offs. Be very clear with the person you're delivering to. What are you giving them? Ask questions if you're unsure about what you need to deliver, and don't be bashful about asking questions. On the other end of things, tell the artist what you need back. File formats, frame rates, and frame sizes, are all good specifications to request.
