- [Lecturer] FFT stands for fast, fourier, and transform. Which is an algorithm that quickly analyzes frequency and amplitude. You can use the effect to draw curves or notches and quickly boost or attenuate a specific frequency or set of frequencies. Let's go ahead and open the sequence named six point three FFT filter and add the FFT effect to the clip in the timeline. And we will select this. Go to the effects panel. Type FFT and there's only one, add it to the clip. Now go ahead and click on the edit button in the effect controls panel. This opens the effects editor for the FFT filter. In here you can see that there are several presets. So we can hear a C Major triade, cassette tape frequency, a de-esser, very important right. And you can also kill the mic rumble. Let's go ahead and try some of these.
