Something that people would not necessarily consider as an editing technique is the ability to edit directly from bins in Adobe Premiere Pro. What does editing from a bin look like? In this video, author Jeff Greenberg demonstrates how you can edit a sequence together in Premiere Pro by editing from bins.
- Premiere's icon view makes it really easy for us…to scrub and mark points from clips…without having to even load them up in the source monitor.…When you combine this with track patching…and three-point editing,…it allows you to be really fast…in constructing segments of clips to the timeline.…I'm going to go ahead here and double-click my footage bin.…And you can see here,…it's got that little preview area pop up.…I want to get rid of that.…You can see there's the footage.…Let me do this one more time.…I'm going to double-click the hilltop.…I'm just going to grab the whole hilltop bin,…pull it up top here, treating it almost like a source.…
I'm going to click my icon view…where I can see them.…Once again, I'll hit that full screen choice…that command + slash…and I can start marking in outpoints here just by scrubbing.…And I'm going to "I" for in and "O" for out…and over here, "I" for in and "O" for out.…And the moment I click on them,…did you see the timeline light up with the tracks?…I want the audio so I'm going to turn the audio back on.…
