Creating a new project
Premiere Pro does not use the project settings to define the way that you're going to conform media for playback. So, if you compare with Media Composer for example, where you'll be using the overall project settings to define your roster to define the image resolution and the frame rate. Doesn't happen for Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro is a much more like Final Cut Pro in that respect. When you first start up the application, you should see a screen a bit like this one. And here, you've got a list of recent projects. And one of the things that's nice about this is if you hover over the name, you'll see here a little tool tip there that tell s you the location as well. So, you can track your contents. You've got the New Project button, which we'll click in a moment to make a new project. We've got Open Project, which lets us browse to an existing project file. And of course, we've got help, which will take us to the Premiere Pro help files. Now, I suppose I shouldn't forget this Exit…
