Create colors using the Difference category
- The whole Difference category works by creating colors based on both the underlined color and the source or above colors. Let's start with Difference. The Difference Blending mode will highlight the pixels that are different between the top and the bottom clip. If the pixels are identical, then the result is black. Anything that is different will be highlighted. Let's open Sequence 5.6. Move your play head on top of the first set of clips. You can see that, again, this is the shot of the beach from above. Both the top and the bottom clips are identical. Let's go ahead and change the blending mode of the top clip to Difference. As expected, the result turns black. Let's notch the bottom clip at tad so that we can start seeing the effects of this Blending mode. Select it. Notch the clip by one frame. As I notch the clip more and more, we can see them more of the pixels start showing white. That's because now the pixels of the top and of the bottom are now not identical. Once you're…
