Capturing information to your external brain
- [Instructor] In a previous lesson, I introduced you to the concept of building an external brain, so you can create more space in your mind to generate creative ideas, rather than constantly trying to remember everything. In this lesson, I'm going to share with you several different ways that you can capture your ideas, based on the different places that you might come up with them. The key to keeping your creativity flowing is having a system in place, in advance. Because the worst thing that can happen is you spontaneously have a brilliant idea, you have to way to capture it for later use, and shortly after, you forget it. So do the world a favor and capture your brilliant ideas before they disappear. First, I'm going to show you my favorite ways for capturing ideas if I'm working on my computer, and then I'm going to show you how I capture ideas if I'm on the go and I only have access to my smartphone, which is by far the most common option.
