Want to use your GPU to speed up how Premiere Pro works? In the past, there were two major formats: CUDA and OpenCL. Now you can utilize Apple Metal to accelerate Premiere Pro. In this video, author Richard Harrington demonstrates how to use Apple Metal to speed up the performance of the new Adobe Premiere Pro 2017.
- You might have previously heard of Acceleration,…the use of the GPU to speed up how Primere Pro works.…In the past, we've relied on two major formats,…CUDA, which is generally used for…NVIDIA Graphics Cards and OpenCL.…There's now a third format called Apple Metal.…And this has been evolving for some time.…This is a native GPU Acceleration for Apple directly.…Remember, you can access this from your Project Settings.…
File, Project Settings, General.…In this case, I'm going to switch my Renderer.…You'll see that, of course, you have Software Only.…But you can use OpenCL, CUDA or Metal, let's turn that on.…When you do this, it's going to delete any…preview files that you have.…What's changed here is that now…the Lumetri Effect is accelerated.…So if I start to work with a look here,…maybe I'm going to apply a Film Stock.…
And we'll back that off Intensity just a little.…And let's do some Basic Correction here.…Lift the Exposure, Recover the Highlights.…Pop the White Point for a bright, white highlight.…And a little lift on the Blacks there.…
