Advanced black-and-white conversion for footage
- One of the things that I really enjoy is black and white photography. And Photoshop, through its adjustment layers, has a very powerful black and white effect. Rather than just pulling out the color, you can selectively mix the exact black and white you're going for. Let me show you how we can go in, tweak areas to really get perfect contrast, and then get a very moody and effective black and white image. We'll then save that as a lookup table that we can use inside of Premiere or After Effects. One of my favorite reasons to use Photoshop is for advanced black and white conversion. Now there's a couple of ways you can go about this. I recommend adding the black and white adjustment layer and this gives you all of the controls. Now this effect is available in After Effects, but it's difficult to sometimes know which slider to move.
