- Let's zoom out a little bit here, and you see the hand sitting on top, the cable pushes in, and the lights light up. Well now we need to extract the hand. Let's select the background layer here and press command D for duplicate, and I'll move that to the top. Now what we need to worry about is the hand itself. Now, I don't need to do everything. We only need to do the portion of the hand right here as it's about to press the cable in. So let's adjust the layer there. The shortcut option or alt left bracket will trim the layer. There we go, and we need to get it as the hand clears right about to there, so alt or option right bracket. Now, we need to use the Roto Brush on the hand. Let's rename this hand, and I'll call it hand one because a little bit later, if you'd like to keep practicing, you could do the second cable as it plugs in with the second hand.
