Like in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro gives you the ability to use adjustment layers. Adjustment layers allow you to apply one effect to multiple clips. Where can they be found? In this video, author Jeff Greenberg explains what adjustment layers are and how to use them in Premiere Pro.
- The other way to put an effect on multiple clips…is something that comes from Photoshop and After Effects,…and it's called adjustment layers.…To do this,…you need to actually add an adjustment layer…to your project.…When I create these,…it'll automatically be created at the size of the sequence.…When I create these,…I always just in good form rename them.…I'm going to call this a scenic look.…And then I'm going to place this on top…of all of these clips,…and then I'll hit a Shift + seven to go to my effects,…roll open the Lumetri Presets,…and I'll take, for example,…one of the film stocks here,…and I'll drag it across all these clips,…giving it a unique look,…including the title.…
And it's all up here under the adjustment layer.…And kind of the neat part about it is…even if this is a really complex set of effects,…something that might even slow down your machine,…you can always right-click on the adjustment layer…and disable it.…You can say, uncheck Enable,…and it turns it off…until you need it again…or you turn it back on.…
