- A major part of editing is working with a timeline, and comfort on the timeline is something that you just want to have. If you're fighting the timeline, it really feels uncomfortable as an editor. Let's take a look at some tricks to be smarter and faster on the timeline itself. Here on the timeline, I'm just for the moment going to go fullscreen 'cause I'm going to focus on it. So I'm going to hit that accent grave, that tilde key. I'm going to hit the slash key so we can see all my tracks. To adjust any individual track height, you can grab the divider between the two tracks and drag it up and down. So I'm going to go ahead here and drag that up to make it taller, drag it down to make it smaller. If you do this with the Shift key, it does all the tracks. And the Shift key generally acts as a modifier saying do all of these things. The roll wheel works as well on a track pad that's two fingers.
