Like with any nonlinear editor, Adobe Premiere Pro ships with preferences already set for you. What if you want to change them so they best complement your workflow? In this video, author Jeff Greenberg shows you where the settings are in Premiere Pro, and how to change them so you get the most out of the application.
- Software designers don't design for you.…They design for novices.…They try to make the onboarding,…the starting of using a tool as easy as possible.…There's some key preferences I would like to check…and play with to just adjust so I'm a little bit…happier as an experienced editor.…Now, on a Macintosh, this is going to be…found under the Premiere Pro menu.…On a PC it will be found under the edit menu.…I'm going to go ahead here and just bring up General…and you're going to see a long list…of preferences here for Premiere.…
The first one I like to adjust…is this Media Cache preference.…I'd like my media caches to live in that sort of…temporary folder whether it's on an SSD…or on my system here on my desktop.…This folder that it uses by default,…it happens to be deep in the operating system…whether you're on a Mac or a PC,…and it's going to grow overtime.…Nowadays, it has the ability to…start deleting these cache files.…But truthfully, I like to make sure I do it myself.…
So I'm just going to browse and replace…where it's putting the cache files.…
