- Many mobile devices have detailed recommendations for video file settings. Adobe Media Encoder provides some catchall, some settings that work in most cases on most devices. But what if you wanna drill in deeper and set your settings to more accurately match your device or to do something particular with that video file. Make it smaller, or higher quality, lower quality, get a faster encode, things like that. Let's look at how you can adjust the mobile presets to get the outcome that you want. I'm here in media encoder and we've previously set this export to be for the mobile device 720p HD setting. So now I'm gonna click in to that to look at those export settings in detail. I'm in my video tab and my basic video settings and you'll notice that some things are checked to match source and some things are not. We're reducing the resolution here to be 720.
