- Earlier, you learned that adjusting exposure can affect saturation. Darken a shot, colors get more intense. Brighten a shot, they likely fade. But, sometimes you're going to adjust color stylistically, emphasizing areas. Let's talk about two important sliders. I'll open up my next shot here, 3.4, and we'll take a look. Here's the original shot, slightly processed. And here's the new shot. Well in this case, we're making some basic adjustments. You'll notice that we have vibrance and saturation plus tint. And, I wanted a rich green that didn't look like astro-turf. So, a slight bluish cast to this dark forest. Well, the original shot, shot in the afternoon, didn't have that feeling. It just didn't feel mysterious enough to me. Using vibrance here I can affect things in the shot. You'll notice that vibrance is more aggressive with the blues and the greens.
