Adjusting Trim Edit mode preferences
- We've been talking about Trim Edit mode, and if you get really into Trim Edit mode, you'll realize that there's some fine controls that you might want to customize. Let's look at going into the preferences to customize both the multi-frame trim amount and the loop amount. Let's take a look. If we go into Premiere Pro preferences, and we go first, to playback, we have those loop controls. The way they work, is you have a preroll setting and a postroll setting. That's how many seconds prior to the edit, do we go back before the loop, and then how many seconds after the edit. This would be a five second loop. I do like to have a little bit more time before my edit than after my edit. The logic being, that you need a little more time to acclimate to the timing before you see the edit. Three seconds is a little much for me, so I'm going to make it two seconds, and I'm going to make my postroll one second, for a tighter little loop.
