Adding contrast with a black and white effect

- Most folks don't think of black and white very often. That's because we're used to delivering color footage in productions. But black and white is all about detail and depth. And if you combine it with a blending mode, you can take advantage of a great black and white image and mix it with the color image. In this case here, what I want to do is really enhance this. If you look at the after, you'll see a nice change. Well this requires an adjustment layer. So if you don't have one, click on your Project panel and choose File, New, Adjustment Layer. This'll automatically match the settings of the project and you can drag and drop it over your footage. Now there's a couple ways to work with this adjustment. But there's an actual black and white adjustment that I suggest. In the Effects panel, just type in the word black and navigate under the Effects to Black & White.
