The basics of keyframing

- [Instructor] Keyframing is the process Premiere Elements uses for creating animations. Now, keyframing can be used to create motion paths, can be used to set in effect a change over time, it can be used to do a 3D effect, make a clip appear to rotate in space, I'm going to show you how to do that in our next session. But in this session I just want to look at the basics of keyframing, because once you understand the basics, you're going to see all kinds of applications for this amazing tool. In this video, we're just going to create a basic pan and zoom over a photo, using keyframes. So let's select this photo on our timeline, I'm just going to position the playhead over it. And with that photo selected, I'm going over to applied effects, which is opened by clicking on the little pencil here on the toolbar. There are two effects that are available for every photo and every video, and those are opacity and motion. The motion effects properties include position, scale, and rotation…
