Removing haze and fog from your videos

- [Instructor] A relatively new effect that's been added to Premiere Elements is the Haze Removal effect. And as the name implies, this effect removes haze and fog from your videos, sharpening the picture and increasing the contrast. It can save a video you've shot on a hazy day or a video of scenery that's hidden behind a layer of fog or smog. I like it a lot. I think the results are excellent with it. We've got a a drive here down the San Diego Freeway that is predictably smoggy. Let's see what we can do here with the Haze Reduction tool. The Haze Reduction tool is in Effects. We've go over here to to toolbar, click on the fx button, and in the category of Advanced Adjustments. There's the Haze Removal tool or the Haze Removal effect. Just drag it right onto the clip. And there's this default setting, not bad. Once again, when we're in the Applied Effects panel, we can disable temporarily the effect to see the before and then re-enable it after just by clicking on that little…
