Effect on selection
- [Instructor] Now most of the time, when you're applying a video effect, you're going to be applying it to your entire clip or to an entire sequence in your movie, but there may be times when you'd like to apply a video effect to only a person or an object in the video frame. New to Version 2021 is a tool for selecting a person or an object in your video and applying the effect only to them, and then the program will actually track with them throughout the video frame and follow them as they move through your movie. Let me show you what I mean. We've got a clip on our timeline. I'm going to go over to the Effects panel, and from the NewBlue Cartoonr Plus Elements, I'm going to select the NewBlue Cartoonr Plus Effect. I like this because this effect applies a pretty obvious effect. And in fact, I'm going to select Pencil Test, which shows us just black and white with some lines.
