- Transitions are ways to get from one scene to another. They often serve as a cue to your audience like a paragraph break that you're beginning a new thought. One of the most basic transitions is a simple fade in or fade out. In this session, we're going to look at how to create fades, and then we'll show you how to customize them for your specific needs. Fades are very simple to create. In Premiere Elements, you simply select a clip, right click, and then choose a fade option and you can fade in audio, fade in your video, fade in both, fade out audio, fade out video, fade out both audio and video or add fades in at the beginning and out at the end. Real simple, let's go ahead and add fades in and out of our audio and video. Notice that when I do hear an expert view, we can see a change to the rubber band.
