(calm music) - Welcome to Premiere Elements 7 Essential Training. Hi, I'm Jeff Sengstack. Creating a good video is a very satisfying thing for you and your audience, whether you're making a movie, putting together a business presentation, or cutting together the best parts of your vacation video, Premiere Elements 7 can give you polished results. As a video producer and journalist and author of six books on video editing, and an Adobe-certified expert in Premiere Pro, I've learned the ins and outs of Premiere Elements 7. I've designed this course in bite-sized movies, so although there's a lot of functionality in Premiere Elements 7, you won't be overwhelmed with too much information at once.
Here's a quick overview of the topics I'll cover. Setting up your project, getting to know the interface, importing your media assets as well as organizing them. I'll get into the basic editing process and how to do a few effects with your footage like slowing it down, playing it backwards, and creating freeze frames. I'll show you how to use cross dissolves, wipes, and other transitions. And you'll get a look at how to create some video effects to give your video the look and feel you want. What else you ask? Working with audio, creating animations, making titles and slide shows.
Then I'll show you how to share your videos. I really enjoy the process and results of working with Premiere Elements 7 and I'm pleased to show you how much fun it can be to use this editing tool to tell your stories. Now, let's get started with Premiere Elements 7 Essential Training.
