It's possible that after you create a Prelude project and close it down, you might move one…of the assets associated with that file or rename that file and then when you open up…Prelude again later, Prelude won't be able to find that file.…You've probably experienced this with other programs where you simply need to re-link…to that file, but Prelude has a little bit of a complexity tossed in, because Prelude…works with something called metadata and the metadata usually are stored inside what are called XMP files.…So if you move the main asset file, it may not be able to find the XMP file.…
I am going to go to the Exercise Files folder here that we provide to Premium members of…lynda.com and open up the Castles clips.…You'll see that all the MPEG files here have associated XMP files.…These are metadata files. Except for one, you are missing 801.…I removed 801 and put it over here, because that's going to be the thing that kind of…throws off Prelude the next time we open it up. But in the meantime, here are these XMP files.…
