Building a rough cut project

I am going to explain how to make a roughCut inside Prelude. So why make a Rough Cut? Well, there are few reasons, I will give you a couple. Let's say you have a vision for how you think your story should turn out. You know the order of the clips, and you have a general idea of how you want to trim those clips down. Well, you can trim those clips down using Subclips and put them in order in a roughCut and pass that roughCut on to your editor, so the editor can get a good idea of what your vision is and then move on from there. Let's say you are working on a project that shoots a number of scenes in one day. You can put all those scenes into roughCut, you can trim them all down and then pass that along to the director, to other folks who are working on the project, so they have a sense of how the takes went that day, and then pick the best take, or decide if they wanted to do retakes.
