- [Voiceover] Welcome to Up and Running with the PowerShell Integrated Scripting Environment also known as the PowerShell ISE. I'm Mike Pfeiffer and I'll be your instructor for this course. We'll start of by looking at the requirements in used cases for the ISE and then we'll see how to install the latest version that supports the latest and greatest features. We'll move on to exploring the ISE's editor features and we'll see how we can make use of profiles that can be used to configure your settings at start up. We'll dive a bit deeper as we move through each module and we'll see how to write and run scripts, edit files locally and remotely, and learn how to use the graphically debugging features in the ISE to help you troubleshoot your scripts.
We'll wrap up by learning how to tap into the extensibility features of the ISE by adding custom menu items and creating add on's that can speed up your work and improve your development and workflow. We have a lot to cover so let's get up and running with the PowerShell ISE.
