- One of the sometimes frustrating things…about PowerShell Remoting is its error messages.…Here's a good example.…I'm not in an Active Directory domain right now.…I'm gonna try and get to a computer via Remoting,…where I know Remoting is enabled but…we're not in the same domain and here's the error I get.…It says that it couldn't connect.…It couldn't process the request, and it was…running into a problem using the Kerberos authentication.…Now it's possible that my username or password are invalid.…I didn't specify one, so that's not the case.…
It's also possible that Kerberos was used…and no authentication mechanism was specified.…It's possible that we're in different domains.…Lots of things going on.…And here's a trick, here's a key.…Notice that computers in the Trusted Host…list might not be authenticated.…Well it turns out that when you don't have a common…means of authentication between two computers,…the only way you can remote to it…is to add that computer to your Trusted Host list.…All right, great, where do you do that?…
