- Now that we have our video inserted into a slide and looking great, let's add some functionality to it. I'm going to select the slide and our Video Tools ribbon tabs will appear. In the last video, we were on the Format tab changing the way it looked on the slide. This time, we're going to head to the Playback tab to worry about the functionality of the video itself. There's a few things that we can do. The first decision I need to make is how the video is going to start playing. Is it going to start when I click the mouse, or automatically when I advance to the slide that it's on? Only you can answer that. You need to decide if there's anything you need to say about the movie before you answer the slide. If you're going to have it start automatically, you also need to remember that it's coming up in the next slide so that you can introduce it before you advance the slide.
