When drawing in PowerPoint, getting shapes right is important. In this video, PowerPoint MVP Heather Ackmann shows how to use the Ink to Shape button.
- [Instructor] If you haven't used…the Ink to Shape tool recently to convert inked shapes,…it's gotten a bit of an overhaul in PowerPoint.…If you'd like to follow along with this exercise,…open the file 04_03_InkShapes…located in this chapter's exercise file folder.…Now, on this slide, I have two shapes already drawn.…And going up to the Draw tab…and looking at the Convert group,…there's this little button here, Ink to Shape.…
Clicking on that is going to turn your cursor…into a drawing cursor with the Lasso Select tool open.…And when we click and drag our mouse,…we can select any drawn object on our slide…and convert it to a perfectly drawn shape.…In this case, a perfect square.…But there's an even faster way now…to convert ink to shapes.…In fact, let me click on the Ink to Shape button…to turn that off.…
Now, all you really need to do…is to click on the shape itself that you want to convert.…And you see this little tag here?…Selecting on that, you'll see two options:…Ink and Convert All.…And hovering your mouse over that option Convert All,…
