Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Straightening a photo, part of PowerPoint: Using Photos and Video Effectively for Great Presentations.
…As you place photos into the PowerPoint presentation, they may be crooked.…Maybe they were shot that way by design and you just don't want it, or…perhaps the camera was slightly leaning one way or the other, or shot off angle.…The good new is, is it's fairly easy to straighten a photo.…You may find after straightening however, a need to crop to remove the jagged edge.…Let's take a look at a few examples.…In this particular case, this is off at a slight angle.…I sometimes find it useful under the View menu to bring up Rulers and Gridlines.…
Now, the Gridline in this case is hidden behind the photo.…But you can see that the guides come on top of the photo as well.…These can be turned on or off as you see fit.…Using these, you can look to see where the edge is, or for a diagonal line.…In this case, I see that this edge lines up with…the dotted line, and over here it misses it a bit.…Clicking on the rotation arrow, you can freely drag.…And then take a look using that guide.…Looks to me like that's fairly straight now.…
