PowerPoint does not have the Track Changes feature found in Microsoft Word. However, there is a feature that allows you to compare two versions of a file, which can be just as effective for reviewing changes made by a collaborator. In this video, we compare two versions of the same presentation using this automated tool. We see how to accept or reject changes made by another user, then finalize the presentation.
- [Instructor] You may have seen the track changes feature…in Microsoft Word which is a great tool for collaboration.…You can allow other people to make changes to a document…and then review the changes that they made…before they're final.…PowerPoint does not have a track changes feature like this.…Instead, there's a feature that can compare two…versions of a presentation, allowing you to review…and approve those changes.…So let's see how that works in this week's PowerPoint tip.…What we're looking at here is a presentation…that I've worked on.…I want to make sure that I've saved all of my work,…then, when I'm ready for a co-worker or a collaborator…to review the file, I can send that file…through email or OneDrive or however you prefer…to share files.…
Let me minimize this and look at this folder.…You can see this is the original PowerPoint presentation…that I built, and then I've got a different version…of it here.…I sent a copy of the original file to my co-worker John.…He made some changes, then sent back this file to me.…
