- [Instructor] This is the first in a set of movies about how we deal with issues in Microsoft Excel. In this case, the issue is missing data. This is a report. The name of the workbook is Restore. And in this case, in column A, the report designer decided not to duplicate values. So we sell four different kinds of KinetEco energy Solar Panels, but KinetEco energy solar panel appears only once in the product column. The data that was in the database looked more like this, but the idea is that by eliminating duplicate values, our report is perhaps easier to read. We could put those values back simply by using Fill, not a problem. I can even do a double click Fill even faster. But imagine that I have hundreds of rows that look like this. How do I deal with the missing data? Well, one way is to create a formula. Click on A12, type in Equals, click on A11 and press Enter. And then I could fill this down.…
